Whether you are buying a new house, or selling your current home, it is true that most people will judge a book by its cover. The first thing that a person will see when entering a new house is the driveway, garage floor, front walk way, and the front porch. For this reason it is very important to make sure you have safe and even concrete throughout your property. Continuing reading to understand how you can add value to your home with polyjacking.

While the interior of your home will be a major selling point, you do not want a potential buyer to have a bad first impression by cracked, sinking, or uneven concrete on your home’s exterior.

General Appearance

Appearance of a home from the outside is very important. Visualize how a change in landscaping can completely transform a home. The appeal from landscaping alone can add great value to your home. The same can be said for concrete. Cracked and uneven driveways or sidewalks create an eye sore for any potential buyers that are visiting your property. While cracked and uneven concrete may not stick out as bad as landscaping from the curbside perspective, it will definitely stick out when a potential buyer is touring the property. Safety and Inspections

We have talked a lot about general curbside appeal of your home. Now it is important to also consider repairing your concrete from a safety standpoint.

We have received many phone calls in the past requesting work to be done for a home on the market that has not passed inspection. The three most common requests have been eliminating a tripping hazard, correcting slope of concrete pads to drain water away from the house, and filling voids. All three of these conditions are of equal importance for having a safe property, and having structurally sound concrete that will not lead to further damage in the future.

Polyjacking is very advantageous for eliminating trip hazards specifically for smaller sidewalk pads. Polyjacking provides a much cheaper and quicker fix rather than complete concrete replacement.

Correcting negative slope toward a house, and filling voids beneath existing concrete is very important for preventing future damage. Often times when concrete pads are poured adjacent to a home’s foundation, they can sink causing water to drain toward the house. Lifting these pads to allow water to runoff away from the home is needed to pass an inspection, and prevent water from entering the basement. Lastly, filling existing voids with polyjacking will help prevent concrete from sinking and cracking in the future. Water damage in a home’s basement, and complete concrete replacement can cost thousands of dollars. Addressing these minor problems now will help prevent them from becoming major problems in the future. These are just a few examples of how polyjacking can increase the value of your home.
